This book is a nearly point by point perfect example of the down side of indie or self publishing a good book Notice I said a good book I'm not talking about a bad book a mediocre book or a great one I'm talking about a good one a book with some likable and distinctive characters at least one reasonably creative concept an engaging plot and prose that ranges from unobtrusively competent to rather pleasing But this book

Don't get me wrong I liked the book the story is fun But it is very similar to the Potter series in my opinion If you liked the Harry Potter series you will definitely enjoy this book And while I love the Harry Potter books there were far too many similarities in this when focusing on the Academy portion of the story I wish the author would have concentrated on the Egyptian portion of the story that's why I picked it
